City On Transfer Alert As Serie A Full Back’s Contract Talks Stall

Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is struggling to come to an agreement with the Serie A club over a new contract, according to reports in Italy.

Manchester City are said to be monitoring the player’s situation, while Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United also hold a long-standing interest in the Brazilian.

Juve are believed to be prepared to offer a €1m a year increase on his current €3m a year deal, but Sandro is said to be stalling on signing on the dotted line.

With the defender’s contract expiring in 2020, the Bianconeri will reportedly consider selling the 27-year-old next summer if his current deal is allowed to run into its final 12 months.

Sandro continues to be a first-team regular with the Italian champions. He has started all but one of the team’s 12 games this campaign.

City boss Pep Guardiola currently only has one recognised left-back in Benjamin Mendy, and the Juve fullback could be lined up as potential competition for the Frenchman.
