City Told They Will Need £70M To Land Chelsea Star This Summer

Ben Chilwell

Chelsea will only consider selling Manchester City target Ben Chilwell if they receive an offer in excess of £70m, according to The Sun.

The Blues are under pressure to offload players to stay within Financial Fair Play regulations following their £600m outlay on new signings over the last two transfer windows.

It means certain stars could well be sacrificed to balance the books and, while they would prefer to keep Chilwell, they could be tempted to sell if City match the reported asking price.

Manager Pep Guardiola is known to be a big fan of the England international, and the Premier League champions need to strengthen the left flank following the departure of Joao Cancelo in January.

At the moment, the Citizens are relying on the likes of Nathan Ake and even Bernardo Silva as cover but bringing in a specialist like Chilwell would certainly add much-needed depth in the position.
