‘That’s His Level’ ‘I’ll Pack His Bags For Him’ Fans React As New PL Club Join Race To Sign City Outcast

West Ham are weighing up a loan offer for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to talkSPORT.

The radio station claim that the Hammers are the latest club to consider the England international as a target for the January transfer window.

Supporters on X believe a move to West Ham may be the best thing for Phillips, who hasn’t managed to establish himself in the first team since making the switch from Leeds 18 months ago:

There are 5 teams interested in Phillips

In addition to West Ham, it is believed that the likes of Juventus, Newcastle, Everton and Crystal Palace have all registered an interest in the 28-year-old.

Palace boss Roy Hodgson has even publicly declared that the Eagles would like to secure Phillips’ services in January.

Why hasn’t Phillips left City yet?

The demand for the midfielder may lead to fans asking why he hasn’t already moved teams this month. The key reason for that is due to City’s demands.

TalkSPORT claim that the Premier League champions are demanding a £7m loan fee. That has already put off Juventus, while FFP restrictions may make such a deal difficult for Newcastle, Palace and Everton as well.

West Ham may be more inclined to agree to City’s terms but this transfer could drag on until deadline day.
