“He Is That Good…” International Coach Backs £85M Rated City Transfer Target To Thrive In The Premier League

Georgia assistant manager David Webb believes Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would excel if he signed for Manchester City.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a €100m (£85m) move to the Premier League in recent months and, asked whether the forward could handle English football, Webb said:

“He’s definitely got Premier League potential, I think personally. Having worked with him closely in training to see how good he is and working with him in the six or seven matches I have had with Georgia so far.”

“He is a really good character in terms of in Georgia he is the main man, they worship him as one of the players who have risen up and been successful. But he’s a humble man, he is married. And he wants to play in the Premier League one day, he wants to play at the highest level he can. So I have no doubt I could see him at a Liverpool or a City, he is that good.”

City have scouted Kvaratskhelia

It is believed that the Premier League champions had scouts in the stands when Georgia took on Spain in a European Championship qualifier back in November.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle also reportedly had representatives in attendance as Kvaratskhelia scored in a 3-1 defeat.

Will the winger leave Napoli this summer?

The Serie A champions were said to be looking to tie down Kvaratskhelia to a new contract in order to reward him for his performances over the last 18 months.

However, no extension has been agreed with the winger and he is still on the deal that he signed when he joined from Dinamo Batumi in the summer of 2022. It remains to be seen whether that will open the door for a potential transfer at the end of the season.
