City’s Negotiations To Sign 40M Rated Spanish International Take A New Twist

Brighton may enquire about signing Manchester City striker Liam Delap on loan as part of the negotiations for Marc Cucurella, according to reports in England.

Pep Guardiola’s side are believed to be holding discussions about signing Cucurella, with the Premier League champions prepared to pay £40m to secure the Spanish international’s services.

However, it remains to be seen whether they would accept Brighton’s request to loan Delap. The 19-year-old is an extremely promising young forward but he did spend a considerable amount of time sidelined with injury last season.

With Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez arriving at the club, Delap may get limited first-team minutes, so sending him to the south coast could be a good way for him to gain the experience he needs at the highest level.

In terms of Cucurella, the Spaniard has also been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham, but it has been claimed that City are the team who have made the most headway in getting a deal done, with some reports even suggesting that the player has already agreed personal terms.
