Bacara Sagna Predicts Who Will Finish In The Premier League Top 4 This Season

Ex-Manchester City fullback Bacary Sagna has named which teams will join his former club in finishing in the top four this season.

In addition to Pep Guardiola’s side, Sagna told Genting Casino that he expects the other three teams currently sitting in the Champions League places, to remain there until May.

“Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Liverpool. These are the teams that I think will be in the top four at the end of the season at the moment.”

The bookies agree with Sagna’s assessment

Nearly every bookmaker has City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool odds on to be in the top four come the end of the campaign.

Newcastle (after beating the Gunners at the weekend) are the next in line, with Betfair pricing them at 5/4. Everyone else, though, including the likes of Aston Villa, Brighton, Manchester United and Chelsea, have much longer odds.

The title race is much harder to predict

Although the Cityzens are still most people’s favourites to win the Premier League once again this season, there is very little between the top teams in terms of points after the first 11 games.

You do usually get a better picture after Christmas, with the tight fixture schedule leading some to drop points, but it is definitely much more difficult to call than the top-four race at this moment in time.

When you consider City usually show their best form in the second half of the campaign as well, Guardiola’s men have already put themselves in a very good position. Although the two defeats to Wolves and Arsenal did come as a shock, they have got themselves back on the right track since the last international break.

The 6-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday will give them added confidence ahead of a challenging run of games. In their next four league matches, they face Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa.
