Clubs – A to B

Arsenal are making progress on a number of deals but the Gunners have yet to make anything official. Despite being recently promoted to the top flight, Brentford are in the same boat.

However, Villa and Brighton have both spent big on Emi Buendia and Enock Mwepu respectively, but that may be due to the fact they are anticipating high-profile departures this summer (i.e Jack Grealish and Yves Bissouma).

Chelsea are thought to be biding their time before making approaches for both West Ham’s Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, but the Blues haven’t actually made a signing. Neither have Palace or Everton.

Leeds, Leicester and Liverpool have all been active in the market, with the Reds having spent the most on one player (in Ibrahima Konate). That will soon change, though, when Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United is confirmed.

Watford and Wolves have been active, but most of the deals have been for rather modest sums, suggesting they won’t be going big with their spending in the coming weeks.
