Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has been a superb addition since he arrived at the club two seasons ago. The Brazilian fits Pep Guardiola’s style of play perfectly, and his ability with his feet is second to none.
Even so, fans on Twitter have been debating where the 26-year-old fits in terms of the best goalkeepers in the world. A number of supporters believe he is right up there:
All a matter of opinion. Doubt any city fan would swap him for anyone though.

He is the best in the world. Period.

Certainly no 1 in premier.

Don't know about the best but the way we play there is no one I would swap him for

For me best and special by his on way only Ter-Stegen can be similar but Ederson more composure with the ball.

While a few believe he needs to improve his shot-stopping to be able to match the likes of Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak:
In terms of ball playing and transition he's the best by far. But in terms of shot stopping, he's gotta be in top 6 I'd say.

Only oblak and maybe Alisson are better than him

As a City fan I wouldn’t say top 3 but I would say top 5

No! Watch his game against Tottenham, you will see the reasons why he is not top 3! I do feel he’s is in the top 10 and probably the best with his feet!

It’s a difficult one to call as the likes of Oblak, Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter-Stegen, Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Manchester United‘s David De Gea all have different strengths and weaknesses.
For City, Ederson provides the perfect starting point for attacks, while being proactive when needed to ensure City can keep a high defensive line and press further up the pitch.
