FA Cup 4th Round Preview, Including Man City vs Arsenal

The FA Cup fourth round isn’t far away. With several high profile games on offer and a place in the fifth round at stake, who will progress? Here we cover an FA Cup 4th Round preview, including Man City vs Arsenal

Manchester City have a very tough task on their hands as they have been drawn against the Premier League leaders – Arsenal. The Gunners have only lost once this season – coincidently, it came at the hands of City’s greatest rivals, Manchester United who just beat City showing that Arsenal have every chance.

The two teams have yet to meet each other in the Premier League this campaign. As such, this highly-anticipated clash of the titans could set the tone for the remainder of the season. They are set to face each other in the League for the 1st time on Wednesday February 15th at the Etihad in a repeat of the FA Cup tie where one team will prevail no matter what laying a marker down for sure.

In the previous round of the competition, Manchester City made short work of Graham Potter’s Chelsea. Goals from Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden and a brace from Riyad Mahrez gave the Sky Blues a comfortable 4-0 win.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will take on Brighton in another all-Premier League encounter. Brighton recently demolished Liverpool in the league by a score of 3-0 – could we see a repeat of this surprising scoreline?

City’s local rivals, Manchester United, will take on Reading in the Fourth Round. The game will see former United favourite, Paul Ince, making his return to Old Trafford.

Elsewhere in the most eye-catching ties , West Ham will play Derby County, Tottenham will take on Preston and Leeds United will need a replay to get past Cardiff City – if they do, they will face Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley.
