Mario Pasalic

The former Chelsea player has been excellent for Atalanta in Serie A this season. He is currently 14th in Europe’s top five leagues for goals and assists per 90 (0.91) this season.

At 27 years of age, Pasalic may not attract the interest of elite English clubs but the likes of Leicester, Aston Villa and Newcastle may be the type of teams who could do with a player like the Croatian international.

Hugo Ekitike

While the striker may not technically be a hidden gem so much anymore, with a number of Premier League teams now said to be pursuing the striker, there is no doubt about the Frenchman’s potential.

At just 19 years of age, Ekitike is already putting out numbers up there with the very best in Europe’s top five leagues. He is currently 23rd for goals and assists per 90 (0.86) this campaign.

David Raum

The left-back may have only moved from Greuther Fuerth in the summer, but he has been ripping things at Hoffenheim this season, with 13 assists in total.

Raum is also creating more chances for his teammates than almost anyone else (76 key passes is the seventh most in Europe’s top five leagues). The 24-year-old is likely to be a target for plenty of clubs.

Benjamin Bourigeaud

If a Premier League team wants a playmaker then the Frenchman has to be near the top of their list. As well as nine goals and 11 assists for Rennes, he has a remarkable 113 key passes, which is the most of anyone in Europe’s top five leagues.

Bourigeaud’s contract expires in 2023 and, if he doesn’t sign a new deal, a club could well snap up the 28-year-old for an excellent price in the coming months.

Luis Maximiano

The 23-year-old moved from Sporting Lisbon, where he was not getting any game time, to Granada at the start of the season, and he has been a revelation with his shot-stopping.

Comparing his Post Shot xG with the actual goals he has conceded, he has prevented 5.7 goals more than the average goalkeeper, which is the joint sixth-best figure across Europe’s top five leagues.
