‘He Is Born Blue. Get Him’ ‘Zero Chance For United Lol’ Fans On Social Media React As City Join Battle For £50m Rated Teenage Sensation

Manchester City have entered the battle to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland, according to reports in the English media. The Citizens have joined the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid in pursuing the forward.

Scouts from the Manchester club were said to be in the stands as the Norwegian scored in Salzburg’s 4-3 defeat to Liverpool last month, and it is believed they were impressed by what they saw.

Supporters are hoping that the player’s father, Alf Inge Haaland, who played for City, will have an influence on his son’s future destination:

City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly sees the 19-year-old as a possible long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, but the striker will not come cheap.

This season, Haaland has already scored 18 goals in 11 appearances for Salzburg and the Austrian club are said to be demanding up to £50m for the player, despite only paying £4.5m for the striker in the 2019 January transfer window.
