5) Elliot Anderson (Manchester City) – £250,000 a week
There are actually four midfielders who all take home £250,000 a week, but we have omitted Arsenal’s Bruno Guimaraes and Manchester United’s Youri Tielemans.
This is because we have gone for the “gross remaining” balance left on their contracts. Anderson will earn a total of £78m from his six-year deal, which he signed in late July.
Based on his early performances for City, it looks like the England international will be well worth the investment.
