Ian Wright Predicts The Result As City Take On Arsenal

Ex-Arsenal striker Ian Wright is expecting his former club to record a narrow win when they face Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The TV pundit expects both teams to get on the scoresheet at the Emirates but he believes that the Citizens won’t return from London with any points:

“It’s the kind of game that I do believe we can score a couple of goals in it and I know that City can score a couple of goals, so I’m going to go 3-2 [to Arsenal].”

Considering the Gunners are not in the best of form heading into the top of the table clash, Wright is probably being a bit optimistic with his prediction.

Of course, as a former Arsenal player, he is unlikely to back them to lose, but you would have to say that City are the slight favourites going into the game.

It’s fair to say that Pep Guardiola‘s side haven’t been firing on all cylinders recently either, but they looked sharp during the 3-1 win over Aston Villa last weekend, and they have the added motivation that they can go top with a victory.
