Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji has had an outstanding start to his career at the Etihad Stadium.
The Swiss international, who was snapped up for just £17m from Borussia Dortmund before the transfer window closed, put in another excellent performance against Wolves at the weekend, and fans have been praising his ability on Twitter:
Looks like a Rolls Royce of a centre-half so far.

Akanji is quick, aggressive and uses his strength against opposing forwards, which is a perfect combination to face the challenges of the Premier League.
It should be noted that the 27-year-old has only made one domestic appearance so far, having played his first two matches for the Citizens in the Champions League, so it will be interesting to see how he fares against more challenging opponents.
If Akanji does start in the Manchester derby after the international break, we may get a better understanding of how he’ll handle some of the tougher matches in English football.
