Man City fans have been reacting to the news that the club wants to sign Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.
City are yet to complete their first signing of the summer transfer window, but are reportedly accelerating their attempts to land a new defender amid the imminent departure of Kyle Walker.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that City are interested in signing Rayan Ait-Nouri, and that the player has already said yes to a move to the Etihad. He says that negotiations are set to begin in the coming days.
There is a chance that the Frenchman could join City before the Club World Cup if they get on with negotiations with Wolves as soon as possible. He is expected to be worth €35m (£29.5m).
Ait-Nouri has made 37 Premier League appearances for Wolves this season, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
After Fabrizio Romano posted the news on X, Man City fans reacted with their thoughts on the possible signing of Ait-Nouri.
Why are they signing another left back when they have Gvardiol and ake?

What sort of player is Ait-Nouri?
The Wolves defender is a full-back rather than a wing back, however, he is very comfortable with attacking. The Frenchman has a knack for assists, and could be the perfect option to run down the wing and put a ball into the box for Erling Haaland to attack.
During the 2024/25 season, he created 91 chances for Wolves to shoot over the course of the season, he also created 12 goals for the club.
It is unclear as to how much Wolves would ask for to sell the defender, however, if the offer was big enough, they would likely accept it to help fund a replacement for Matheus Cunha, who they sold to Man United.
