Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says the club will be monitoring the fitness of Erling Haaland over the next few days.
The Norwegian international picked up an injury during the first half of the 1-1 draw against Newcastle at the weekend.
Haaland was pictured with a bloody ankle following a tackle from Magpies defender Dan Burn but he did play the full 90 minutes.
Guardiola played down the seriousness of the injury, saying that the striker was simply suffering with some “knocks”.
