Nathan Ake suffered a thigh injury whilst playing for the Netherlands during the last international break.

The defender had to be substituted just before half-time during the 2-2 draw against Germany. Speaking about the injury before the Brentford game, Guardiola said:

“Injured. I think until the next international break. We are unlucky with Nathan – every time he goes [to play for his country], he comes back injured.”

Guardiola’s comments suggest that Ake will miss the fixtures against Inter, Arsenal, Watford (in the Carabao Cup), Newcastle United, Slovan Bratislava (in the Champions League) and Fulham.

Expected Return Date – Sunday 20th October v Wolves (a)
