Man City Injury News & Expected Return Dates: Updates On Erling Haaland, Savinho and 4 More

Man City striker Erling Haaland is a doubt for City’s game against Newcastle United this weekend.

The Cityzens will be feeling good right now, as they just saw Arsenal drop two points against the bottom-of-the-league side Wolves. The gap to the Gunners now sits at five points, but Pep Guardiola’s side has a game in hand.

If they beat Newcastle this weekend, they would close the gap to just two points before Arsenal play against rivals Tottenham on Sunday.

Man City will welcome Newcastle on Saturday night, but they could be without star striker Erling Haaland, as he is dealing with a knee injury. Guardiola said last week: “He’s not 100 per cent, but we’ll see today how he feels. It’s not a big issue, the doctor said to me, we will see his evolution.”

Expected return date – Saturday 21 February vs Newcastle United (H)

Savinho

Winger Savinho is also close to making a return, as he has been dealing with a hamstring injury since December now. The Brazilian is close, and he is currently being assessed ahead of the Newcastle game this weekend.

Guardiola said that he returned to training in a limited capacity in late January, so he could be back this weekend if all goes well in training this week.
