Man City defender Manuel Akanji isn’t expected to return until late April as he continues to recover from a groin injury. 

City have seen a lot of injury problems this season, which is one of the factors that has contributed to their struggles under Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard’s side are sixth in the Premier League table after a 0-0 draw in the Manchester derby at the weekend allowed Chelsea and Newcastle United to leapfrog them in the Premier League table.

They next face a game against Crystal Palace at 12.30 pm on Saturday afternoon, hoping to get back to winning ways and boost their chances of finishing in a Champions League place come the end of the season.

In the latest City injury news, Akanji has been ruled out until the end of April as he continues to recover from a groin injury that he suffered in February. He underwent a minor surgery at the time and is working to make a return before the end of the season.
