Rodri

The midfielder has not played since his aborted comeback against Bournemouth at the beginning of November.

He is doing his best to recover from the troublesome hamstring injury, but speaking about the issue last week, Guardiola would not be drawn on when the Spaniard could return to action:

“Rodri is training really well. He is doing his rehab really well, and he looks sharper and sharper every day. But I don’t think we are going to see him for the weekend [against Palace] – he is the process, definitely.”

Expected Return Date – Unknown

Mateo Kovacic

The Croatian international is set to be out for most of the campaign due to complications related to Achilles surgery last summer.

There was some calcification in his ankle that has prevented Kovacic from being able to play, and he has been forced back on the treatment table.

Guardiola has suggested that the midfielder may only make his comeback in the “last part” of the campaign, which indicates that we won’t see him again until after the last international break in March.

Expected Return Date – March/April
