Speaking before the Liverpool match, manager Pep Guardiola made it clear that the midfielder’s return to action may have to wait until the end of November:
“I think we won’t take a risk ahead of the international break. We have to find the moment he feels strong and fit to sustain the actions in the game properly.”
Rodri was not in the matchday squad for the victory versus Liverpool last Sunday, as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The 29-year-old made a brief cameo against Bournemouth but he is still suffering from issues related to the injury that he picked up in the 1-0 win over Brentford at the start of October.
