‘0-0 Incoming’ ‘Should Win Regardless’ – Fans React As City Star Is Ruled Out Of Arsenal Fixture

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is set to miss the game against Arsenal this weekend due to a groin problem, according to The Mirror.

The Belgian was substituted at half-time in the draw against Inter Milan midweek after picking up the injury.

While De Bruyne is not expected to be out for the long term, he won’t reportedly be ready to face the Gunners. While fans on X believe his unavailability will hamper their chances of securing the three points on Sunday, some are still confident of getting a victory:

Odegaard’s injury does level the playing field

With City’s opponents heading into the match without captain Martin Odegaard due to an ankle injury, most supporters believe that De Bruyne’s absence will make it a more even contest.

You’d have to say, though, Arsenal do rely more on Odegaard for their creativity than City do with De Bruyne. Of course, the fact that the 33-year-old won’t play is still a big blow but, with Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden fit and available, they can still hurt their opponents.

Will City be without any other players?

There are doubts over the fitness of Savinho after he was also replaced at half-time against Inter, so it remains to be seen if the Brazilian can make the matchday squad.

Nathan Ake (hamstring) and Oscar Bobb (fractured leg) had already been ruled out of contention.
