‘Best News Ever’ ‘We Are Back Bby’ ‘Let Our Season Begin’ Man City Fans Delighted Following Surprise Injury Boost

Man City attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki could be back in action before the next international break, according to reports in France.

Journalist Loic Tanzi claims that the 22-year-old has recovered from the thigh injury that he sustained just under a month ago.

Cherki could be available to play against Monaco in the Champions League or Brentford in the Premier League at the start of October. Supporters on X are very happy that the summer signing could return much sooner than expected:

Cherki could make his comeback way ahead of schedule

The France international was expected to be out of contention for seven or eight weeks, but it looks like he could be ready to play again in just five if the information proves to be accurate.

Of course, fans will want to hear confirmation from manager Pep Guardiola or the club itself before getting their hopes up.

Man City’s injury list is clearing up

Kalvin Phillips came off the bench for his first game of the campaign against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Mateo Kovacic is now also back full training following surgery on an Achilles injury. When Cherki does return, it would mean that only three players (excluding Erling Haaland) remain on the treatment table.

Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush and Rayan Ait-Nouri are not expected to be out too long either, with Ait-Nouri probably needing a bit more time to recover than the other two.
