Abdukodir Khusanov

The centre-back has not featured since the 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates in September.

Khusanov was withdrawn at halftime with either a foot or ankle injury, and Guardiola initially expected the defender to miss just three games. He has been subsequently ruled out for another four.

Speaking before the defeat to Aston Villa, Guardiola did say that Khusanov is nearing his return to full fitness but the club’s medical staff are being careful due to the nature of the injury:

“I think he’s close but he’s still not ready from having an injury in a dangerous, dangerous position in his body”.

It’s not exactly clear what Guardiola means with his comments but it suggests the injury was more serious than initially anticipated.

Expected Return Date – Unknown
