‘Season Is Over’ ‘Arsenal Winning The League’ City Fans Devastated Following Latest Injury Update

Manchester City midfielder Rodri has suffered a serious knee injury, according to multiple reports

The Spanish international could be set to miss the rest of the season, damaging the club’s chances of retaining the Premier League title.

There were concerns when Rodri was taken off in the first half against Arsenal at the weekend and fans on X have not reacted well now their worst fears have been realised:

Rodri’s importance to City

The Premier League champions have only lost 1 of the last 78 games when the midfielder has played, including the 2-2 draw against the Gunners on Sunday.

For that reason, manager Pep Guardiola will be very disappointed if he can’t call upon Rodri again this campaign due to injury.

It has been a tough few months for the midfielder

Rodri actually had fitness problems heading into the season. He sustained a hamstring issue during the final of Euro 2024 against England in July and was forced off at half-time.

The 28-year-old only returned to the matchday squad against West Ham at the end of August before making appearances against Brentford, Inter and Arsenal. He now looks set for a lengthy spell on the treatment table.
