‘That’s Cute. I Wonder What Gave Him Hope?’ ‘Don’t They Say That Every Year?’ City Fans Mock Arsenal Star’s Title Vow

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka believes his team can beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this year.

The Gunners have finished 2nd in the past two seasons but, speaking after the win over PSG midweek, Saka said that he is hopeful they can go one better:

“I don’t want to put too much pressure on us, but I do think this is the year. We have been close for the past two years and we are getting closer, but, yes, hopefully, this will be the year…”

“There is a lot of hunger in my belly. In previous years we have finished runners-up (to Manchester City), but that spirit in me is that I want to win this season and I believe in myself a lot.”

Obviously, City supporters on X weren’t going to let those comments slide. They have had a few things to say about Saka and Arsenal:

The bookmakers have made Arsenal favourites

Following the news that Rodri is out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury, City have dropped behind the Gunners as frontrunners for the Premier League title.

The Spanish international is undoubtedly a key player for Pep Guardiola’s side but the reigning champions have proven in recent seasons that they can cope with injuries and still win titles.

City have not lost in any competition this campaign

Despite all the doom and gloom surrounding Rodri’s injury, it should be pointed out that City have won won 7, drawn 3 and lost 0 so far this season.

If Guardiola’s team can build on that unbeaten start, it will give them a great chance of winning more trophies.
