Arsenal centre-backs William Saliba and Gabriel have named Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku as the most skilful player in the Premier League.
In a Q&A with Sky Sports’ Saturday Social programme, the two defenders praised the Belgian international’s pace and directness on the ball.
While many City fans on X do agree with the pair’s opinion about Doku, others are not so sure whether the forward is living up to the hype:
Love them for saying the truth 🫶

Doku’s form has tailed off since the start of the season
City paid a large fee to bring in the 21-year-old from Rennes back in August, and a lot was expected of him, considering his reputation as a speedy winger.
Doku had a strong start, with 3 goals and 6 assists in his first 12 games. However, five of those goal contributions came in one match against Bournemouth back in early November, and he hasn’t really made much of an impact since then.
City have invested in the future
The Belgian has a lot of talent, though, as both Saliba and Gabriel have clearly noticed. The Premier League champions knew what they were getting when they paid £55.5m and they will stay patient as he continues to make progress.
At the moment, Doku’s game is pretty raw and it may be some time before he realises his true potential.
