Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol is among the eight nominees for the October Premier League Player of the Month.
The Croatian played in all three of the Cityzens’ league wins last month, scoring a spectacular goal in the 2-1 victory over Wolves.
Supporters on X believe Gvardiol deserves to be recognised for his performances, although not everyone thinks he is the favourite for the award:

Gvardiol has been one of City’s most consistent players
The 22-year-old has been extremely reliable this season, and that is all the more important at the moment with the Premier League champions having picked up so many injuries.
Despite there being selection problems elsewhere in the squad, though, manager Pep Guardiola knows he can depend on Gvardiol.
Who are the other nominees that Gvardiol will be going up against?
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer are also among the eight nominations. Nottingham Forest pair Matz Sels and Chris Wood are named as well, with Brighton’s Danny Welbeck, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and Leicester City’s Facundo Buonanotte making up the rest of the list.
City fans can nominate Gvardiol by heading to the website here. It should be noted that voting closes at 12:00 GMT on Monday 4th November.
