Jeremie Frimpong Claims City Have A Player Who Is Superior To Both Martin Odegaard And Dominik Szoboszlai

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is a better player than Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard and Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai, according to Jeremie Frimpong.

The Bayer Leverkusen wingback was asked by Goal’s TikTok channel which of the three was the best attacking midfielder, and the Dutchman replied:

“Kevin De Bruyne”

Considering De Bruyne’s outstanding performances over the past decade, you won’t have many disagreeing with Frimpong’s choice.

After breaking through at first-team level during a loan spell at Werder Bremen from Chelsea, he then went on to join Wolfsburg on a permanent basis, lighting up the Bundesliga with his performances between 2012 and 2015.

City then came calling, who splashed out a hefty £55m on the Belgian near the start of the 2015/16 season. The rest, as they say, is history

De Bruyne has become one of the best players of the Premier League era

The midfielder has won five Premier League titles (as well as many other trophies) during his time in Manchester.

De Bruyne has also racked up 68 goals and provided 110 assists in 256 league appearances, having also won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award on two separate occasions. He is an undisputed Premier League icon.

Frimpong could potentially return to City this summer

There have been rumours that Frimpong could be set to move back to England in the coming months. The 23-year-old is thought to have a €40m (£34m) release clause in his contract, which is attracting a lot of interest.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and his former club City have been tipped as potential suitors for the defender. Whether Frimpong would join up with De Bruyne if he were to make the move to the Etihad, though, it is up for debate.

The midfielder has a year left on his contract and there are rumours that he could leave for Saudi Arabia or even the United States.
