Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Stefan Ortega – 5/10 – the German was picked ahead of Ederson and he justified his inclusion with a couple of good saves, but he did give away the penalty.

RB – Kyle Walker – 2/10 –  the captain put in an awful display. He switched off to allow Cody Gakpo to ghost in behind him for Liverpool’s opener. His poor clearance also contributed to City giving away the second.

CB – Ruben Dias – 5/10 – looked rusty with it being his first game back in over a month. One of the players who made an error in the build-up to the penalty.

CB – Manuel Akanji – 4/10 – gave the ball on several occasions in the first half that led to Liverpool getting shooting opportunities. Also didn’t close down Mo Salah for his cross for Gakpo’s goal.

LB – Nathan Ake – 5/10 – seemed to enjoy his battle with Salah but he was caught out of position for the opener.
