‘He Is Performing Well’ ‘DESPERATELY Want Him To Score!’ Fans Assess City Summer Signing’s Start To The Season

Manchester City winger Savinho has had a promising start to his career at the club.

The Brazilian international was signed from Troyes for an initial £21m back in July and he has gone on to make 9 appearances in all competitions.

City’s official X account has posted a highlight reel of Savinho’s season so far and supporters have delivered their verdicts on the player’s displays:

He has got more game time at City than expected

There were actually questions about whether Savinho would be loaned out at the start of the summer but manager Pep Guardiola has picked him to play more often than anticipated. Oscar Bobb’s injury and Phil Foden’s fitness issues have definitely contributed to that.

Even so, it’s clear that the player has caught the eye in training and he has more than deserved the minutes he has been given by Guardiola.

Savinho has yet to get off the mark

The 20-year-old has already produced some moments of great quality. His brace of assists against Ipswich Town, and his pass to set up Erling Haaland for the opening goal versus Arsenal particularly caught the eye.

As some fans have mentioned, though, Savinho has yet to find the back of the net in a City shirt. He will be hoping that changes soon.
