Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Ederson – it is believed that the Brazilian’s future could be decided after the tournament. For now, he remains City’s No.1.
RB – Matheus Nunes – the Portuguese international is set to continue playing as an auxiliary right-back with the club having not yet found a replacement for Kyle Walker.
CB – Ruben Dias – there were rumours that the centre-back could be on his way this summer but that speculation has died down. He is set to play a crucial role in the Club World Cup.
CB – Josko Gvardiol – the arrival of Rayan Ait-Nouri does suggest that the Croatian will be used at centre-half on a more regular basis.
LB – Rayan Ait-Nouri – this will be the first chance to see the new signing from Wolves in action.
