‘A Great Signing’ ‘No, He’s Not City Level’ Fans Discuss Move For “Brilliant” Defender Who Impressed Against Salah

Manchester City are weighing up a bid for Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson, according to GiveMeSport.

The American international caught the eye last weekend when he kept Mo Salah quiet and got two assists during the Cottagers 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

Marco Silva praised Robinson for his “brilliant, unbelievable performance” after the game but City supporters on X are split on whether their team should seriously contemplate signing the player:

Robinson’s asking price has been set

GiveMeSport report that Fulham are reluctant to let the 27-year-old leave during the January transfer window but they may still consider a sale if a team matches their valuation.

It is believed that they will demand as much as ยฃ40m for Robinson. While it is a pretty steep figure, the Cityzens have spent more than that for fullbacks in the past.

The player is open to joining City

Speaking about his future following the match at Anfield on Saturday, Robinson said that, while he is not angling for a move away from Craven Cottage, he would be all ears if a club meets Fulham’s asking price:

“I’m very happy here, the fact that there is interest from other teams is great. Obviously, it all comes down to whether someone wants me enough to pay what Fulham would ask.ย So, if the club sees it as a good idea, I would leave.”
