Man City Tipped For £90m Premier League Swap Deal For Jack Grealish Upgrade

Man City have been tipped to complete a swap deal with Aston Villa for Morgan Rodgers in exchange for Jack Grealish.

The future of Grealish seems to be away from Man City, as the English winger fell out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola last season. He made just 20 Premier League appearances last season, scoring just one goal.

Grealish has been linked to several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Tottenham and  Aston Villa. He has also been linked with a move to join Serie A side Napoli, but it is currently unclear as to the most likely destination.

Reports have suggested that Aston Villa could try and get the 29-year-old back to Villa Park after he had an incredibly successful spell there before he joined City. He managed to score 32 goals, and provide 43 assists in over 200 matches since when he was a teenager.

Man City could swap Grealish for Rodgers

If City do decide to sell Grealish, they could look to replace the winger with someone that is likely to get more game time under Guardiola, and they have been linked to several players including Morgan Gibbs-White and Morgan Rodgers.

According to former Aston Villa scout Bryan King, City could try and force a swap with Villa in order to sign Rodgers. He told Villa News: “It all depends on what Manchester City want. If they want a player involved in that deal and if that player is Morgan Rogers, then that would also make it a little bit difficult because you don’t want to lose your best player.”

Seeing as Villa values Rodgers at around £90m, and City value Grealish at closer to £40m, City would still have to put in plenty of cash as a lure for Villa, but there is a chance that they could persuade the Birmingham-based club.

Rodgers would make a huge impact for Man City there is no doubt. Last season, the 22-year-old scored 14 goals, and provided 15 assists in 54 games. He is for sure, one of the most exciting attackers in the Premier League.
