“Cannot Let Him Got To Arsenal” – City Urged Not To Sanction £77M Transfer This Summer

Manchester City could hand the title to Arsenal if they sell Julian Alvarez to the Gunners, according to pundit Scott Minto.

The former Chelsea defender says that Mikel Arteta’s side only need a striker to be a complete team and Alvarez would be a perfect addition to their squad:

“We know that Arsenal is just one piece away from having that perfect jigsaw. And Alvarez could be that man, especially considering how adaptable he is, how versatile he is, how he can play as a nine, he can play as a No. 10, he can play as a false nine, he can play out wide. He can do a little bit of everything going forward. He’s a World Cup winner…”

“If he wants to leave for whatever reason, it might be family reasons, I don’t know. But if he does want to go, then where he lets them go, I think, is going to be crucial. [Manchester City] cannot let him go to Arsenal.”

Arsenal are not the only club interested in the forward

Multiple reports have confirmed that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have held talks with Alvarez’s representatives. Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the player.

Alvarez is said to be considering his options, having spoken publicly regarding his unhappiness about his playing opportunities in recent weeks.

City don’t want to sell Alvarez

Despite the 24-year-old seemingly pressing for a transfer, though, the Premier League champions are determined to do all they can to keep him at the Etihad Stadium.

They have decided to put a pretty high price tag on Alvarez, with reports claiming that €90m (£77m) will be needed for City to consider selling him. It is not known whether Arsenal or any of the striker’s other suitors have that kind of money.
