Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has given the green light to joining Man City, according to reports in the French media.
Foot Mercato claim that there is an “agreement” with the player, but reaching terms with his club may prove a lot more “difficult.”
Chelsea are said to be demanding £75m for Gusto, and supporters on X don’t believe the 23-year-old should be signed:

Maresca wants a right-back
Newly-appointed head coach Enzo Maresca is said to be looking to strengthen his options on the right-hand side of defence.
Marco Palestra was a target before the Atalanta player opted to join Chelsea instead. Ironically, that transfer may open the door for Gusto’s switch to the Etihad Stadium.
There are other names under consideration, including Brentford’s Michael Kayode, Newcastle’s Tino Livramento and Juventus’s Andrea Cambiaso, but it looks as if Maresca prefers to be reunited with Gusto.

Man City won’t match Gusto’s asking price
It has already been suggested that the Cityzens are unwilling to splash out £75m on the France international, but it remains to be seen if his club will lower their valuation.
Relations between the two clubs are likely to be frosty following the issues surrounding Maresca’s appointment.
City ended up paying significant compensation for the Italian, and the manager was also required to publicly apologise for his actions as part of the agreement.
In that context, you can’t see Chelsea sanctioning Gusto’s move to Manchester for any type of discount, but we shall have to wait and see how this one develops.
