£50M Rated Bundesliga Ace ‘Excited’ After Holding Talks With City Over Summer Switch

Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush is “excited” about the prospect of joining Manchester City, according to reports in France.

Foot Mercato claim that the Egyptian international has “already spoken” with the club’s management about a move this summer and he is hopeful that the transfer will go ahead.

Marmoush has been in outstanding form for Frankfurt so far this season, having scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions.

The player is reportedly keen on joining a Premier League team and it appears as if City are in pole position to secure his services.

Marmoush has spoken out about his future this week

The 25-year-old has recently addressed transfer speculation, stating he is flattered by the interest but he emphasised that he doesn’t have a “dream destination“.

If City do make a formal bid over the coming months, it seems Marmoush would be very open to joining the Premier League champions.

It is believed that Frankfurt are demanding a fee of around €50m (£41.5m) to €60m (£50m) for the Egyptian, which is not an unreasonable figure considering his recent form.

City are likely to have competition for the player

Foot Mercato report that Marmoush is also being “closely followed” by the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool but it does appear the Cityzens are the ones who have made the first approach.

Some sources in Germany have denied that the Premier League champions have made an official move for the striker but, based on Foot Mercato‘s claims, it seems only informal talks have taken place, with the deal not expected to go through until the end of the season.

Fans may feel that the club should be looking to add reinforcements now rather than waiting until the summer, but Marmoush could be a great addition no matter when he arrives at the Etihad.
