Agents Representing £78M Rated Arsenal Target Have ‘Contacted’ Man City And 2 Other Premier League Clubs

Intermediaries have “contacted” Manchester City and several other teams to ascertain whether they would be interested in signing Real Madrid forward Rodrygo this summer, according to reports.

Arsenal are said to be the likeliest club to make an offer for the Brazilian international if he decides to leave the Bernabeu over the coming weeks.

However, TBRFootball claim that Rodrygo’s representatives have also been talking to City, as well as two other Premier League teams – Chelsea and Liverpool

On the continent, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been informed of the 24-year-old’s potential availability too.

Rodrygo has expressed his admiration for City in the past

Speaking after Real beat Pep Guardiola‘s side in the Champions League knockout stages last year, Rodrygo praised his opponents:

“For me, they are the best team in the world. Man City are the team that plays the best football. I think the most difficult rival has already left [the Champions League], but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy now to win the final.”

Will Man City make a move for him?

A lot may still depend on what happens with Jack Grealish. The Cityzens have found it difficult to offload the England international so far this summer.

It is believed his asking price has dropped to £40m and the likes of former club Aston Villa, West Ham, Everton and Tottenham have all been mentioned as potential suitors.

However, due to Grealish’s wage demands, a move to Saudi Arabia looks to be the only realistic option at the moment. With that being the case, any attempt to sign Rodrygo, who could cost €90m (£78m), is not on the cards.

In other news, Fabrizio Romano has been talking about the future of a young Arsenal midfielder who has been linked with a move to Man City
