‘Crazy’ ‘I Don’t Think He’s Worth That’ Fans React As Man City And Arsenal Vie For Brazilian With £85M Price Tag

Real Madrid have slapped a €100m (£85m) valuation on Man City target Rodrygo, according to Relevo.com.

The Brazilian international has been tipped to leave the Bernabeu and, in addition to Pep Guardiola’s side, Arsenal are said to be interested as well, having “enquired about him in recent days.”

City supporters on X are not particularly worried about the potential transfer battle with the Gunners, they are more concerned about Rodrygo’s high asking price:

Rodrygo has had a pretty average season

The 24-year-old may have scored 13 goals and contributed 10 assists in 50 appearances this campaign, but he hasn’t found the back of the net in his last 13 league games.

Rodrygo has not scored in any competition since he bagged the opener during the 2-1 win over rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League at the beginning of March.

City fans don’t have the fondest memories of the player

No supporter will have forgotten the brace Rodrygo recorded against Pep Guardiola’s side during the Champions League semi-final second leg back in 2022.

The Cityzens were on course for the final before the Brazilian got on the scoresheet twice in injury time. Karim Benzema would subsequently seal the dramatic turnaround with a penalty.

Despite that game, though, the Manchester side have been regularly linked with signing Rodrygo in recent years. It remains to be seen whether he will end up at the Etihad this summer.
