Manchester City Star Mocks Arsenal Fans On Instagram Following Win

Kevin De Bruyne, star midfielder at Manchester City, took to Instagram to mock Arsenal’s fans following an incident where bottles were thrown at the Belgian.

In the post, which can be found on De Bruyne’s Instagram story, he made a reference to the offending bottles. In the first photo, he captioned it with “beer anyone?”

Following this, in a photo that showed bottles hurtling towards him (thankfully, none of which found their target) he captioned it with “Thanks!”

De Bruyne was at the centre of the drama throughout the tightly-contested affair. Not only did he open the scoring for City, catching Aaron Ramsdale off his line with a sublime chipped effort, but he was also involved in a touchline skirmish with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

As De Bruyne went to collect the ball when it went out of play for a City throw, Arteta kicked it away from the Belgian as he went to pick it up – prompting an angry reaction from De Bruyne where he pushed the former City assistant manager. Arteta knew exactly what he was doing trying to stop De Bruyne from taking a quick throw-in.

Ultimately, City had the last laugh, as they beat Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium by a score of 3-1. In doing so, Pep Guardiola’s men have blown the title race wide open – can they capitalise on this and go on to win the Premier League at the end of the season?

City’s victory also helps Manchester United who are still not out of the title picture and will take heart in the fact Arsenal did not extend their lead over Erik ten Hag’s improving side.
