Manchester City centre-back John Stones did not feature in the 2-0 defeat to Southampton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night due to a knock but he is expected to return for the derby against United.

However, Ruben Dias remains sidelined with a hamstring injury which has kept the Portuguese international out of contention since the World Cup.
