Manchester City have all but agreed personal terms with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports in the English media.
The Citizens are said to be hopeful that a transfer fee in the region of €70m (£63m) will be enough to seal a deal for the centre-back, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool this summer.
Supporters on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the story, with some questioning the source of the information, while others are not convinced that Koulibaly would be the right signing:

There are certainly a number of younger centre-backs on the market, such as RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, that could just as easily fit the bill and be available for a lower price than Koulibaly.
However, the Senegalese international undoubtedly has the experience to come in and make an impact straight away. At 29 years of age, he would very much be the solution for the here and now.
