Arsenal have yet to make a move in the transfer market but the Gunners are expected to make a serious play for a striker and a winger. Martin Zubimendi’s move from Real Sociedad is likely to be completed soon.

Other teams, such as Aston Villa and Bournemouth, have also been quiet, although the Villans have issues with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules so they will need to sell before they buy.

Brentford have been the biggest movers so far, having paid £18m for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Brighton have snapped up Sunderland’s playoff final hero Tom Watson.
