Clubs – C to F

Chelsea have had a very busy couple of weeks in the transfer market, having had a pretty slow start to the summer by their standards.

Having hijacked Arsenal’s move for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, and paying a club record fee in the process, they have gone on to snap up centre-back Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace.

Manager Xabi Alonso has been keen to bring in more experience, and that was the thinking behind the addition of Brighton striker Danny Welbeck.

Jordan Henderson’s transfer to Stamford Bridge has also been made official, while the arrival of left-back Pep Chavarria from Rayo Vallecano is said to be imminent.
