Roy Keane Names The “Favourites” To Win The Premier League But He Refuses To Change His Title Prediction

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has made Arsenal “favourites” to win the Premier League title.

Heading into this weekend’s fixtures, the Gunners are eight points ahead of Manchester City, having played a game more, but Keane says that he is still sticking to his original prediction that Pep Guardiola’s side will secure top spot:

“They’re definitely favourites for the title. I don’t think they’ll do it. I still have to fancy City but Arsenal have got themselves in a great position. You need a little bit of luck, injuries over the last few months, they’re in a great position and you have to admire them for that can’t begrudge them.”

Things could look a lot different after the weekend. City will be heavily favoured to secure the three points against bottom-of-the-table Southampton on Saturday evening.

The Gunners, meanwhile, will take on Liverpool at Anfield a day later. If the Reds do come out victors, it could swing the pendulum back in City’s favour.

They would be right back in the hunt, with a five-point gap and a game hand, especially as Arsenal have to face the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium later this month. We shall see how the two teams fare in their upcoming fixtures.
