Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that striker Sergio Aguero will be out for two more weeks despite having tested negative for the virus.
The Argentinian international has not played since the game against Chelsea last month and it now looks as though he could miss City’s next four matches, at the very least.
Supporters on Twitter are frustrated by this latest development with some believing that the club should have brought in reinforcements up front during the January transfer window:
should have bought or loaned a striker

What a bummer! He is the best striker City has ever had, but this season just passed him by. Should City offer him a contract extension?

Aguero will miss the league matches against Burnley, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as the FA Cup fifth-round tie versus Swansea City. There will also be doubts over his participation in the clash against Arsenal in 19 days time.
It is has been a nightmare season for the 32-year-old with the player having also suffered knee and hamstring injuries which have limited him to just nine appearances in all competitions.
