‘Stupid And Selfish’ ‘Should Be On The Next Flight Home’ – Fans Angered By Manager’s Decision To Play Injured City Star

Germany manager Joachim Low says Leroy Sane should be fit to face the Netherlands on Sunday despite being on the end of a strong challenge against Serbia last night.

The winger limped off after Milan Pankov’s tackle that saw the Serbian red-carded in injury time during the 1-1 friendly draw.

However, Low doesn’t think Sane’s injury is serious, and he expects him to be ready for the European qualifier this weekend:

“It was a vicious foul. Sane was lucky and got away with not getting hurt but such fouls can break bones.”

Understandably, City fans on Twitter would like Sane to be sent back to England so he can rest up:

City’s fixture schedule following the international break is hectic, to say the least. Pep Guardiola‘s side have eight games in April, including a Champions League quarter-final, a FA Cup semi-final as well as crucial league games against Tottenham and Manchester United.

If they reach the Champions League semi-finals, the run-in could be relentless and that means they will need every player available, including Sane.
