Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan took to Twitter yesterday to announce that he has returned to training.
The German international has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, missing the last five matches in all competitions.
Supporters are absolutely delighted to see Gundogan back in action and are hoping he can recapture the form he was showing right before his injury.
Welcome back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The 28-year-old put in an excellent display against Cardiff City at the end of last month. He scored and provided an assist in the 5-0 win, and it was likely frustrating for him to be sidelined after such a good performance.
Gundogan’s contract situation is still up in the air. Reports indicate the player is keen to extend his stay with his current deal expiring in 2020. It has been suggested that Ajax would like the midfielder in exchange for Frenkie de Jong, but it seems the player wants to remain at the Etihad.
