The SIX Premier League Stars Nominated For The PFA Fans’ Player Of The Year Award

Haaland

With the Premier League season set to end in just under two weeks’ time, the PFA have drawn up their nominations for the Fans’ Player of the Year.

There have been plenty of outstanding performers this campaign and the PFA likely found it hard to reduce the number of nominees to only six.

A few players will certainly feel hard done by that they haven’t made the final shortlist.

Press the next page as we look at who has been nominated for the prize.

Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur

The England captain has actually gone under the radar somewhat with his displays this season.

That may have something to do with the form of another nominee on this list, and the fact that Spurs have not performed well as a team.

Even so, Kane has scored 27 Premier League goals so far this campaign.

It is the 29-year-old’s third-highest total in the English top flight and he still has two games remaining to surpass his best figures (30 in 2017/18).

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

The winger has played a key role in the Gunners’ unlikely title challenge this season.

Saka has come up with some key goals, such as the brace against Liverpool at the Emirates back in October.

The 21-year-old has also reached double figures in both goals and assists for the first time in his professional career.

He would, of course, have preferred the campaign to be finishing on a more successful note.

Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

After a somewhat underwhelming start to the season for the Belgian playmaker, he has been in great form in recent months.

While De Bruyne’s seven goals in the Premier League doesn’t match previous campaigns, he is still racking up the assists.

The midfielder has set up 18 goals for his teammates, and that doesn’t include other competitions such as the Champions League and domestic cups.

De Bruyne has proven an influential figure once more as City close in on another league title.

Marcus Rashford – Manchester United

There was talk of the 25-year-old leaving Old Trafford last summer after a difficult year at United.

However, Rashford remained in Manchester and he has thrived under the management of Erik ten Hag.

16 goals in 33 league games makes him United’s top scorer in what has been a pretty successful campaign for the Red Devils.

Both Rashford and the club will, though, be keen to seal Champions League qualification to make sure the team’s progress is rewarded.

Martin Odegaard – Arsenal

The Gunners captain has been a revelation this season, with his goals having helped Mikel Arteta’s side challenge for the title.

Odegaard has managed to score 15 in the Premier League alone, which is joint-most of any midfielder in the history of the competition, without including penalties.

The Norwegian has led by example with his performances, coming up with some outstanding goals from long range.

Like every Gunners player, though, he will be disappointed with the way things have gone in recent weeks.

Erling Haaland – Manchester City

Not much more needs to be said about the 22-year-old after a record-breaking season.

People expected big things of Haaland after arriving at City last summer but nobody would have predicted just how devastating he has been in front of goal.

36 goals in 33 league appearances is an astonishing feat, which may not be repeated.
