Three Teams Plotting To Sign City Wonderkid Foden For Just £175,000

Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are looking to sign Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden when his contract expires, according to English media reports.

The 18-year-old has 20 months to run on his current deal, but there has been no progress in talks to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium.

If Foden were to move to another English club, City would be entitled to significant compensation, but the figures are very different for foreign clubs.

The likes of PSG would only have to pay the costs for developing the player, rather than anything more substantial. As things stand, that number would be as little as €200,000 or £175,000.

City manager Pep Guardiola has consistently praised Foden since giving the teenager his professional debut against Feyenoord in the Champions League last season.

However, the England U17 World Cup winner may be tempted to take the same path as Jadon Sancho. The winger left the Citizens to join Dortmund last year and made his senior England debut against Croatia on Friday night.
